Video Editor

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our team full-time and work on-site. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience editing both long-form YouTube videos and short-form social media content. This role requires a strong sense of storytelling, audience retention strategies, and the ability to produce engaging edits that resonate across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage through to final delivery.
- Produce captivating short-form content for platforms such as YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.
- Incorporate cuts, transitions, motion graphics, subtitles, sound design, and visual effects to enhance video quality.
- Enhance storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention across all video formats.
- Repurpose long-form content into high-performing short clips tailored for social media engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the content and team lead to bring creative visions to life.
- Optimize videos for platform-specific performance and audience engagement metrics.
- Manage project files efficiently and ensure timely delivery of all content.

Required Qualifications
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience editing YouTube long-form and short-form videos.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro; experience with After Effects is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of YouTube editing techniques, including hooks, pacing, and retention strategies.
- Skilled in adding subtitles, motion graphics, color correction, and audio balancing.
- Ability to work full-time in-house at the designated location.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
- A portfolio or showreel showcasing previous video editing work is required.

Preferred Qualifications and Job Details
- A Bachelor’s degree in related fields such as Computer Science, Digital Arts & Creative Design, Film, TV & Digital Media, Animation, or VFX is preferred.
