Video Editor (Premiere Pro & After Effects)

Reelax Media, a dynamic video production company based in Karachi, is seeking talented Video Editors to join our team. We work with clients across the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, transforming raw footage into engaging, polished content. This full-time, on-site role is based in Gulshan, Karachi, with working hours from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday to Friday. Candidates must be able to work exclusively from our office, as remote or hybrid options are not available. Salary ranges from PKR 80,000 to 120,000 per month, depending on experience and department.

We are hiring for three specialized departments: Captions & B-Roll, Motion Graphics, and Shorts & Reels. The Captions & B-Roll team focuses on animated captions, selecting and placing B-roll footage, and delivering clean edits that align with client briefs. The Motion Graphics department creates animated graphics, kinetic text, transitions, and visual effects primarily using After Effects. The Shorts & Reels team produces fast-paced, hook-driven short-form content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts. Applicants may apply to more than one department but should specify their preference.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit videos from raw footage using Adobe Premiere Pro to create client-ready content.
- Design animated captions, motion graphics, transitions, and visual effects using Adobe After Effects.
- Produce short-form videos and longer edits with strong hooks, pacing, and audience retention.
- Select and integrate B-roll, music, and sound effects that match the client’s tone and brief.
- Follow scripts, client instructions, and brand guidelines meticulously.
- Implement revisions and quality control feedback promptly and accurately.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Organize project files according to company naming conventions and delivery standards.

Required Qualifications
- Availability to work full-time on-site at our Gulshan, Karachi office; remote work is not an option.
- Proven experience editing videos using Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, essential for the Motion Graphics role and beneficial for other departments.
- Strong understanding of pacing, continuity, storytelling, and retention-focused editing techniques.
- Relevant experience in the department applied for (Captions & B-Roll, Motion Graphics, or Shorts & Reels).
- Good audio editing skills, including cleanup, leveling, and balancing music.
- Strong command of written and spoken English to accurately interpret client briefs and feedback.
- Ability to accept constructive feedback, collaborate effectively within a team, and consistently meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Basic knowledge of color correction and grading techniques.
