We are seeking a skilled Video Editor to join our team and help launch two new faceless YouTube story channels in English. One channel will focus on storytelling for children, while the other will cater to an older audience. These channels will feature videos created from scripts and voiceovers, enhanced with illustrations, animations, music, and on-screen text—without any on-camera appearances. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to transform stories into engaging videos that maintain viewer interest from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit story videos using provided scripts and voiceovers.
- Construct scenes by integrating illustrations, AI-generated images, stock footage, and simple character animations.
- Apply subtle motion effects such as zooms, pans, and transitions to bring scenes to life.
- Incorporate background music and sound effects that complement the mood of each story.
- Add clear, readable captions to enhance viewer understanding.
- Ensure children’s videos are bright, colorful, and appropriate for young audiences.
- Maintain a calm, clear, and easy-to-follow style for videos aimed at older viewers, using larger text and slower pacing.
- Collaborate on establishing the visual style for both channels from the outset.
- Create thumbnails for videos, if capable.
- Produce Shorts by cutting down longer videos.
- Deliver projects on time and make revisions based on feedback.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of professional experience as a video editor.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or CapCut.
- A portfolio demonstrating faceless storytelling, children’s content, or animated story videos.
- Strong sense of pacing and emotional storytelling through video.
- Good command of English to ensure visuals and captions align with the narrative.
- Reliable communication skills and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience with AI image generation and animation tools is highly advantageous.
- Ability to create engaging thumbnails is a plus.
- Familiarity with producing content specifically tailored for different age groups.
Location and Work Environment
This position is based in Rawalpindi and requires in-person attendance. Candidates located in or near Rawalpindi are preferred.
