Video Production Lead / HOD

We are looking for a Head of Video Editing to lead our video editing team and oversee all aspects of video production operations. This role blends creative leadership with administrative and operational management, focusing on storyboarding, creative direction, and optimizing video workflows. The Head of Department will act as the main point of contact between Project Production Managers (PPMs), Video Editors, and Client Success Managers (CSMs), ensuring efficient project execution, team coordination, quality compliance, and timely resolution of challenges.

Key Responsibilities

- Support PPMs in storyboarding and providing creative direction, especially for test projects.
- Guide and manage PPMs to improve project quality, streamline workflows, and enhance overall execution.
- Serve as an escalation point to resolve conflicts or issues between PPMs and Video Editors.
- Address and clarify communication gaps among CSMs, PPMs, and editing teams to maintain alignment.
- Review and refine Levels of Mastery (LOMs), offering clear guidance to PPMs on necessary improvements.
- Monitor project progress with a focus on test projects and high-priority assignments.
- Track deadlines and quality standards while identifying and mitigating potential bottlenecks.
- Lead meetings involving relevant team members to promote effective cross-department communication.
- Participate in recruitment, evaluation, and assessment of Video Editors, including test project reviews.
- Establish and maintain efficient editing workflows, standards, and operational processes.
- Stay updated on AI video editing tools, plugins, software, and industry trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new technologies to enhance editing efficiency and output quality.
- Provide regular feedback and direction to PPMs and editing teams to foster continuous improvement.
- Ensure team members who meet agency LOM standards and evaluation criteria receive proper recognition during hiring and performance reviews.
- Take ownership of operational challenges and drive their timely resolution.
- Uphold high standards of professionalism, accountability, communication, and project delivery.

Required Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of video editing workflows and post-production processes.
- Proven leadership experience managing video editors, PPMs, or creative teams.
- Excellent administrative and operational management skills.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Solid understanding of storytelling and storyboarding principles.
- Skilled at identifying weaknesses in videos or projects and recommending practical improvements.
- Comfortable leading meetings, delivering constructive feedback, and making informed decisions.
- Commitment to staying current with AI editing tools, plugins, software, and emerging technologies.
- High attention to detail and dedication to quality standards.
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

This fully remote position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs100,000 to Rs200,000. It provides the flexibility to lead a dynamic video production team from any location.
