Brand Research Executive

Viral Distributors is seeking a dedicated Brand Research Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate will specialize in discovering and evaluating potential brands suitable for Amazon FBA Wholesale. This role involves conducting comprehensive market research to identify emerging, established, and untapped brands across various product categories. The executive will analyze demand, profitability, competition, and growth potential to build and maintain a qualified pipeline of target brands. Serving as a key contributor, this role requires actively monitoring market dynamics and consumer demand while ensuring compliance with Amazon policies. The Brand Research Executive will collaborate closely with business development and procurement teams to support outreach initiatives and supply chain verification. This position demands strong analytical skills to review product performance metrics such as Best Seller Rank, Buy Box ownership, pricing history, and sales volume through Amazon Seller Central and research tools. Reporting on research findings and providing actionable insights to management will be a core responsibility. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 3 to 4 years of experience in brand, product, or market research, particularly within Amazon FBA Wholesale or procurement contexts. This role does not involve managing a team but plays a crucial role in strategic brand sourcing efforts.
Responsibilities

Research and identify potential brands that align with Amazon FBA Wholesale business requirements.
Discover emerging, established, and untapped brands across multiple product categories with potential for growth.
Evaluate brands based on demand, profitability, competitive landscape, and long-term growth opportunities.
Build and maintain an organized and qualified pipeline of target brands for acquisition and partnership.
Conduct in-depth market research to identify current product trends and new category opportunities.
Analyze key competitors, pricing strategies, product assortments, and brand positioning in the marketplace.
Monitor ongoing market dynamics, consumer demand shifts, and category performance metrics.
Identify high-potential product categories to support business expansion ambitions.
Utilize Amazon Seller Central and dedicated research tools to analyze product performance indicators including Best Seller Rank (BSR), Buy Box ownership, competition intensity, pricing trends, estimated sales volumes, product restrictions, and brand gating status.
Identify profitable sourcing opportunities while ensuring compliance with Amazon policies and guidelines.
Identify and validate authorized distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers to verify supplier legitimacy and business credentials.
Collect, maintain, and update supplier contact information and maintain comprehensive brand and supplier databases.
Support the preparation of outreach communications to assist business development and procurement teams in vendor engagement.
Prepare detailed research reports and opportunity summaries outlining findings and strategic recommendations.
Track and document the status of approved, rejected, and pending brands in a systematic manner.
Present research results and actionable recommendations to management to support informed decision-making.
