Responsibilities:
- Will review the questionnaire and liaise with clients for any open questions or insufficient information.
- Check for appropriate keywords and enhance wherever required.
- Update metadata in our systems as per required standards.
- Fact-check metadata records prior to publishing.
- Revisit the metadata for back list titles.
Person profile:
- Minimum one year experience in metadata management
- Minimum one year professional proofreading and fact-checking experience in publishing
- Minimum one year experience in Web-based publishing environment
- Familiarity with social media and Web-based research tools
- Technical proficiency in Windows operating environment
- Fluency in Outlook, Excel, and MS Word
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using advanced features such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Demonstrated multi-tasking and problem solving skills in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
- Demonstrated ability to work with a wide variety of people
- Demonstrated effective presentation skills
- Demonstrated focused attention to detail
- Highly organized
- A self-starter with impeccable organizational and analytical skills
- Responsible to update the codes per its description (BIC, BISAC, Thema)
- Review author questionnaire, fact-check, read-through descriptions and communicate with Authors
- Identify keywords and ensure it has high impact and effectiveness
- Review the Cover blurb and Author information
- Work as part of a team that accurately creates, enters, edits, and maintains other product information
- Focus on ensuring completeness, accuracy, and suitability of all metadata
