Visiting Faculty – BTEC Level 3 Information Technology

PAC College Private Limited, located in Gulberg, Lahore, is seeking a part-time Visiting Faculty member to teach selected units of the Pearson BTEC Level 3 Information Technology programme. This role focuses on developing students’ practical and transferable IT skills through hands-on learning and industry-relevant projects. The position offers flexible engagement of 2–3 days per week, with classes held on campus between 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM. Hourly remuneration ranges from PKR 2,500 to 3,000, depending on qualifications and experience. There is potential for this role to become permanent after the first year, subject to performance and programme needs.

Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, practical lessons aligned with BTEC unit specifications.
- Develop students’ technical skills, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, communication, and independent learning.
- Prepare course plans, teaching materials, lab exercises, and assignment briefs.
- Assess student work according to Pearson criteria and provide constructive feedback within assessment guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of assessments, student portfolios, and progress reports.
- Promote academic integrity and responsible use of AI and digital resources.
- Participate in faculty meetings, assessment standardisation, and Pearson training sessions.
- Support internal verification and Pearson standards verification by preparing evidence and addressing feedback.

Required Qualifications
- A relevant degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrable practical expertise in the units selected for teaching.
- Ability to clearly explain technical concepts to students progressing from Matric or O Levels.
- Strong communication skills, proficiency in written English, classroom management, and organisational abilities.
- Capability to link technical learning with real-world workplace applications.
- Availability to teach on campus during the specified schedule.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Previous experience teaching BTEC or other assignment-based vocational courses.
- Relevant industry experience, professional certifications, or a portfolio of practical projects.
- Familiarity with assessment documentation and internal verification processes.
- Willingness to complete relevant training and adhere to Pearson’s delivery and assessment standards if new to BTEC teaching.
