We are seeking a skilled and proactive VoIP Engineer / Vicidial Specialist to manage, optimize, and scale our contact center voice infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Vicidial, SIP technologies, Linux systems, and call center telephony environments. This role is essential in maintaining call quality, ensuring system uptime, and improving campaign efficiency across our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure, manage, and optimize Vicidial environments (versions 10 and 11) to support inbound, outbound, and blended contact center campaigns.
- Tune dial levels, hopper behavior, and performance settings to maximize operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot real-time call issues such as call drops, audio delays, and sound quality problems.
- Manage SIP trunks, carriers, and interconnections to maintain stable and reliable call routing.
- Diagnose and resolve SIP/RTP issues including latency, jitter, and one-way audio problems.
- Work with Asterisk-based VoIP systems for dial-plan configuration and server-level maintenance tasks.
- Integrate and support SIP components like Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, or similar platforms (preferred).
- Administer and maintain Linux servers across various distributions such as Debian, CentOS, Rocky, and openSUSE.
- Monitor system health, logs, and performance metrics to ensure stability and uptime.
- Perform basic MySQL/MariaDB maintenance, including backups and routine database operations.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience with Vicidial, VoIP, and SIP-based telephony systems.
- Strong understanding of SIP, RTP, and Asterisk technologies.
- Hands-on experience in Linux server administration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex call flows, routing issues, and dialer performance challenges.
- Familiarity with call center operations, dialer logic, and campaign mechanics.
- Knowledge of Kamailio, FreeSWITCH, or Session Border Controllers (SBCs) is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
