Kharian Cardiac Centre is a dedicated heart-care facility committed to providing comprehensive cardiac services to the local community and surrounding areas. The centre emphasizes patient-centered care by blending clinical expertise with compassionate support for patients and their families affected by heart disease. Volunteers are integral to enhancing the overall patient experience, assisting staff, and fostering a welcoming, well-organized environment. The team upholds values of integrity, respect, and collaboration while operating in a dynamic healthcare setting, offering volunteers valuable insight into cardiac care and hospital operations.

Key Responsibilities
Volunteers will engage in a full-time hybrid role primarily based on-site at Kharian Cardiac Centre, with some tasks performed remotely. Daily duties include greeting and guiding patients and visitors, assisting with registration processes, and providing basic administrative support. Volunteers help maintain a clean and orderly waiting area, prepare patient information packets, organize files, and assist in coordinating patient flow to minimize wait times.

Remote responsibilities may involve phone-based follow-ups, updating simple records, and supporting community outreach or health awareness initiatives under staff supervision. Volunteers must demonstrate reliability, empathy, and strict adherence to hospital policies, including confidentiality and safety protocols.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact respectfully with patients, families, and healthcare staff. Basic organizational and administrative abilities are essential, including handling forms, managing records, and following instructions accurately.

Volunteers must be comfortable working in a healthcare environment with sensitivity, patience, and discretion, maintaining confidentiality at all times. Familiarity with basic digital tools such as email, simple data entry, and online forms is necessary to support hybrid and remote tasks.

Reliable availability for full-time volunteering is required, along with punctuality and commitment to scheduled shifts. The ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team, adapt to changing demands, and remain calm during busy or stressful situations is important.

An interest in healthcare or community service is preferred. While prior volunteer or customer-facing experience is beneficial, it is not mandatory. A minimum education level of secondary school is required, with further education in health sciences or social work considered an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Although not mandatory, candidates with additional education in health sciences or social work will find this advantageous. This role offers meaningful exposure to cardiac care and hospital operations, providing valuable experience for those interested in healthcare careers or community service. Volunteers will gain practical skills, develop professional relationships, and contribute positively to patient well-being in a supportive and collaborative environment.
