The Vice President will play a critical leadership role in driving the Data & Analytics function within our Functions Group, which encompasses Regulatory Reporting, Finance, Compliance, and Risk. This position is responsible for spearheading transformation initiatives focused on automation, ensuring that regulatory tools and processes are robust, and enabling seamless adherence to Central Bank requirements. The role demands a strategic mindset to shape regulatory reporting frameworks while managing technology and vendor partnerships effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the regulatory reporting strategy across Corporate & Institutional Banking Group (CIBG) and Investment Banking Group (IBG) regions, covering nine geographies including Egypt, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, India, UK, Hong Kong, and the USA.
- Drive automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in regulatory reporting and compliance processes.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of regulatory tools and systems to ensure compliance with Central Bank regulations.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and service providers to deliver optimal solutions aligned with business needs.
- Strengthen governance frameworks and delivery mechanisms to ensure consistent, high-quality outputs across multiple regions.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to architect, prototype, and implement innovative systems that support regulatory and compliance objectives.
- Establish and maintain a robust evaluation and monitoring framework to track system performance and regulatory adherence.
Required Qualifications
- Extensive experience in regulatory reporting, data analytics, and compliance within the financial services industry.
- Proven leadership skills in managing multi-regional teams and complex projects involving regulatory technology and automation.
- Strong understanding of Central Bank regulations and reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including technology, risk, compliance, and finance.
- Expertise in vendor management and technology solution delivery in a regulated environment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing senior leadership and external partners.
