VYTL Sft is seeking a friendly, detail-oriented Customer Service / Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on delivering excellent customer support while efficiently managing the prior authorization process. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong communication skills, a customer-first mindset, and experience working with insurance verification and prior authorizations. This position requires actively engaging with insurance providers via phone calls and online portals to ensure timely and accurate authorization approvals. The role demands a high level of organization, attention to detail, and familiarity with medical terminology and electronic health record systems. This position does not involve managing a team but requires collaboration with internal departments to maintain a smooth and organized prior authorization workflow. The successful candidate plays a key role in enhancing patient experience by handling insurance verifications and prior authorization requests promptly. Maintaining data integrity through accurate data entry and comprehensive understanding of policies is essential to supporting the operational goals of VYTL Sft and providing excellent service to all customers.
Responsibilities

  • Contact insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations using phone calls and online portals promptly and accurately.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits related to medical procedures requiring prior authorization.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and up-to-date records in Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and internal databases.
  • Communicate efficiently with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any issues related to prior authorizations.
  • Utilize medical terminology to understand and process authorization requests in compliance with insurance requirements.
  • Follow established protocols to ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor the status of prior authorization requests and provide timely updates to patients and providers.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies or issues in the authorization process to prevent delays or denials.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care and administrative processes related to insurance authorizations.
  • Demonstrate a customer-first approach in all interactions, striving to provide excellent service and build positive relationships.
  • Perform detailed data entry and documentation to ensure accuracy and ease of information retrieval.
  • Adapt quickly to changes in insurance policies, procedures, and technologies relevant to prior authorizations.
