The Hypermarket Manager at Wafiq Stores leads and oversees all operational aspects within the hypermarket environment. Required: 5-10 years of experience in retail management (Metro Cash and Carry, Imtiaz Mega, Care4, Greenvellay, Madina Cash and Carry, Punjab Cash and Carry, Dewatson, Shaheen Camiest etc).
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of 10 employees across multiple departments including grocery, fresh food, non-food, and customer service.
- Develop and implement merchandising and promotional strategies to achieve and surpass annual sales targets.
- Manage inventory through precise demand forecasting, inventory control, and regular stock audits to minimize losses and shrinkage.
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction by enforcing service quality standards and organizing continuous staff training programs.
- Oversee vendor relationship management, including negotiation of purchasing terms and ensuring consistent product availability.
- Control procurement processes and optimize supply chain management to meet inventory demands efficiently.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions and improve overall store performance.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on sales, procurement, and operational metrics for senior management.
- Schedule staff effectively to ensure adequate coverage for all operational hours and peak demand periods.
- Monitor and control operating expenses in alignment with company budgets and profitability objectives.
- Ensure strict compliance with health, safety, and operational standards to create a safe shopping environment.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support store initiatives and enhance operational workflows.
