Warden

The Warden for Noor Girl Home plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient management of the facility while maintaining a safe, hygienic, and supportive environment for the residents. This position involves overseeing daily operations related to housekeeping, maintenance, security, and welfare of the girls. The Warden will supervise staff, coordinate with various departments, and ensure compliance with rules and regulations to promote discipline and well-being within the home.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise washing and laundry activities, ensuring the hygiene and cleanliness of all clothing items. Maintain an updated inventory list of clothes, including seasonal items.
- Coordinate closely with housekeeping, maintenance, horticulture, and other relevant teams to uphold cleanliness, hygiene, health, safety, security, and the overall ambience of the Noor Girl Home premises.
- Monitor and control the movement of residents, ensuring no one leaves the premises without proper authorization and that all “in and out” timings are accurately recorded.
- Prevent misuse or damage to the home’s facilities and promptly address any complaints raised by residents.
- Oversee and train frontline staff, ensuring new hires receive proper guidance and support.
- Manage housekeeping operations through regular supervision to maintain high standards.
- Respond to queries, emergencies, and provide support to the girls, including administering first aid, acting as fire warden, contacting emergency services when necessary, and accompanying residents to hospitals if required.
- Follow instructions from management to achieve optimal results and contribute to the development of operational strategies.
- Supervise the maintenance and upgrading of facilities, regularly inspecting furniture and fittings with the operations team and initiating repairs or replacements as needed.
- Ensure a safe and healthy living environment by addressing cases of misbehavior, indiscipline, or sickness promptly and effectively.
- Foster a collegiate atmosphere, enforce discipline, and uphold the code of conduct within the home.
- Manage the allotment of rooms to residents and oversee the overall maintenance of the facility.
- Monitor the quality of food served in the hostel and ensure proper store issuance and demand management.
- Organize, guide, and motivate operational teams to achieve optimum performance.
- Provide timely and accurate reports to senior management to support strategic planning and continuous improvement of operational activities.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in managing residential facilities or similar environments, preferably with experience in a girls’ home or hostel setting.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to train and manage teams effectively.
- Good knowledge of hygiene, safety, and maintenance standards.
- Ability to handle emergencies calmly and efficiently, including basic first aid and fire safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills to liaise with multiple departments and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in record-keeping and reporting.
- Ability to enforce discipline and maintain a positive, respectful environment for residents.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- The position offers a monthly salary range of Rs50,000 to Rs55,000.
- Work location requires in-person attendance to effectively manage daily operations and resident welfare.
