Warehouse Assistants help manage the flow of products and stock through a warehouse. They are usually responsible for receiving and sending goods to and from the warehouse
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels, conducting regular counts, and updating inventory records accurately.
- Perform stock replenishment duties to maintain adequate inventory and avoid shortages in the warehouse.
- Utilize warehouse management systems and supply chain management software to track inventory movement and support logistical operations.
- Assist in receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to verify quantities and quality against purchase orders.
- Prepare and organize goods for outbound shipments, ensuring correct labeling and packaging according to standards.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe warehouse storage areas adhering to company and regulatory safety guidelines.
- Support inventory audits and reconciliation processes to identify discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
- Coordinate with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to facilitate smooth warehouse workflows.
- Implement best practices for inventory control and continually suggest process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Report any issues related to stock discrepancies, damage, or delays to supervisors promptly for resolution.
