Waresa Group seeks a proactive Merchandiser specializing in International Buying and Ordering to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate brings at least two years of experience in vendor management, cost negotiation, and product sourcing, particularly within the footwear industry. This role centers on managing relationships with Chinese suppliers and ensuring seamless procurement workflows that guarantee timely deliveries. The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in maintaining effective communication through platforms like WeChat and managing supplier interactions with accuracy and efficiency. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires strong coordination skills to liaise between suppliers and internal departments for successful order execution.
The successful candidate will utilize their knowledge of shoe products and supplier negotiation skills to optimize cost and quality while tracking and following up on orders promptly. Responsibilities include maintaining detailed payment records related to procurement activities and ensuring alignment with company standards throughout the purchasing cycle. This position offers an opportunity to contribute directly to Waresa Group's supply chain success by supporting the procurement process with precision and a keen eye for detail.
Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with Chinese suppliers to ensure effective communication and smooth procurement processes.
- Negotiate costs and terms with vendors to optimize pricing and delivery schedules.
- Source and select footwear products that meet quality standards and market demand.
- Utilize communication platforms, especially WeChat, for prompt follow-up and coordination with suppliers.
- Track and monitor the status of ordered items to guarantee timely deliveries in alignment with company requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payment records related to purchase orders and supplier transactions.
- Coordinate with internal departments to align procurement activities with inventory and sales plans.
- Ensure compliance with procurement procedures and company policies throughout the buying process.
- Analyze product trends and supplier performance to recommend improvements in sourcing strategies.
- Resolve issues related to order discrepancies, delivery delays, or quality concerns by engaging suppliers promptly.
