Security Guard

SECOURS ISLAMIQUE FRANCE (SIF) is an international non-governmental organization dedicated to providing humanitarian assistance and development aid worldwide. Since 1991, SIF has been working across more than 20 countries.

In Pakistan, we have been actively serving vulnerable communities and marginalized groups since 2010 by providing them with humanitarian assistance during emergencies and supporting them through the implementation of sustainable development programs in the areas of Child Protection and Child Wellbeing, WASH, Food Security and Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction, and Education during both early recovery and development phases.

SIF is currently providing its services in all provinces of Pakistan, including Sindh, Punjab, Balochistan, KPK, and has a presence in 33 of the most vulnerable districts. In light of increasing challenges such as inflation, illiteracy, poverty, and climate change, as well as their association with limited and shrinking resources like water, food, and livelihood opportunities, SIF believes that there is a high need for enhanced collaboration between NGOs and government institutions. SIF is fully confident that by sharing experiences, innovations, and lessons learned under such coordination, we can collectively improve the well-being of children and alleviate the miseries of the communities across Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure security measures of the office building (gates, doors, and lights switched off during the night).
Ensure adequate access control according to Guards Regulation, SIF rules, and given instructions.
Ensure the security of the premises and employees by guardianship and not leaving the entrance empty.
Give security alerts in case of any emergency situation or direct threat by immediately reporting to the Security Focal Person of his/her base location.
Ensure the security of vehicles parked outside.
Be responsible for the security of surroundings and immediately report any specific problem, information, risk, or threat to the supervisor at the earliest.
Ensure the office equipment (official systems, furniture, gadgets) are properly safe and secured.
Inform the Line Manager in case of any losses occurred to SIF assets/vehicles.
Maintain an In-Out register.
Check with SIF staff before allowing any non-SIF person to cross the entrance gate.
Support drivers and staff when loading and offloading vehicles.
Fill up the generator, the fuel pump, etc.; follow up form on a daily basis.
Manage inverters and battery service (if needed).
Manage bicycles parking, keys, and regular checks and maintenance of the bicycles.
Report about any technical problem of equipment to the logistic team.
Start and stop the generator, fuel pump, etc. (if needed, and according to schedules).
Check fuel, engine oil level, refill before start, and refill if needed.
Maintain a proper track record of lists of vendors for any procurement.
Properly maintain a track record of the assets.
Maintain proper visitor records.
