Web Developer Intern

DartSyn is offering a 3-month unpaid internship at their NUST Ascend Tower office in Islamabad, designed for individuals eager to gain practical experience in building AI-powered web applications. Interns will work closely with senior developers to develop responsive websites, integrate AI features such as chatbots and smart search, and improve overall web application performance. Although this internship is unpaid and does not guarantee future employment, it provides valuable exposure to advanced technologies in a professional setting.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive web pages and user interface components based on provided designs.
- Build features for web applications, portals, and dashboards.
- Integrate AI APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, or Gemini into web applications.
- Create AI-powered functionalities including chatbots, content generation, smart search, and automation tools.
- Connect front-end interfaces with APIs and databases.
- Identify and fix bugs, test new features, and optimize website performance.
- Use Git for version control and actively incorporate feedback from code reviews.

Required Qualifications
- Currently studying or holding a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Basic experience with React, Next.js, or similar front-end frameworks.
- Foundational back-end knowledge using Node.js, Python, or comparable technologies.
- Practical experience integrating at least one AI or large language model (LLM) API into a web project.
- Understanding of REST APIs, API key management, and secure handling of credentials.
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with Git version control.
- Ability to present at least one project (via GitHub or a live website), preferably showcasing AI integration.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with LangChain, vector databases, or Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) for document-based chat.
- Basic skills in prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with Tailwind CSS for styling.
- Knowledge of deploying applications using platforms like Vercel or Netlify.

Interns will receive comprehensive onboarding and practical training, along with mentorship from an experienced senior developer. Performance evaluations will be conducted at 30, 60, and 90-day intervals to support growth and development. This internship offers real-world experience contributing to AI-powered web products within a dynamic technology company serving international clients.

The selection process involves a review of your CV and portfolio or GitHub profile, followed by a brief interview and a practical coding task lasting approximately 30 to 45 minutes. There are no fees associated with the application or selection process.
