Web & Digital Media Communications Officer

Friends Foundation is seeking a creative and technically proficient Web & Digital Media Communications Officer to enhance and manage the organization’s digital presence. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the organization’s website, ensuring it remains user-friendly, visually appealing, and up-to-date. Additionally, this role involves training staff to independently handle website updates and administration. The position also supports social media management, digital content creation, and the production of multimedia materials such as documentaries and promotional videos. This is a full-time, in-person role based in I-10/4, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop the organization’s website in line with its requirements.
- Manage, maintain, and regularly update website content post-development.
- Provide practical training to designated staff on website administration, content uploading, and basic management.
- Ensure the website remains functional, user-friendly, and visually professional.
- Oversee and update the organization’s social media platforms.
- Create engaging digital content for campaigns, projects, events, and activities.
- Design graphics, social media posts, banners, presentations, and other communication materials.
- Produce and edit short documentaries, project videos, interviews, field stories, and promotional videos.
- Conduct photography and videography during project activities, events, and field visits.
- Support the development of digital communication and visibility materials for organizational initiatives.
- Assist with digital fundraising and awareness campaigns while fostering relationships with donors, partners, media, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate closely with the program development unit to document project achievements and impacts.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Web Development, Digital Media, Mass Communication, Media Studies, or a related field.
- Candidates with relevant courses, diplomas, certifications, and practical experience are encouraged to apply.
- Between 6 months to 2 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-technical staff.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks within deadlines.

The position offers a monthly salary of Rs40,000 and requires the candidate to work on-site at the Islamabad office. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about digital media and communications who are eager to contribute to a dynamic organization’s growth and visibility.
