We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Server Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our server infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. The primary focus of this role will be to handle the uploading and maintenance of websites, similar to mediafire, on our servers.
Responsibilities:
Server Management:
- Configure, deploy, and maintain web servers to ensure seamless website hosting.
- Monitor server performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize server resources.
- Implement security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access and potential threats.
Website Upload and Maintenance:
- Upload and manage websites on servers, ensuring proper functionality and accessibility.
- Collaborate with development teams to deploy new websites and updates.
- Perform routine backups and implement disaster recovery plans to prevent data loss.
Technical Support:
- Provide technical support to internal teams and external clients related to server and website issues.
- Respond promptly to server-related incidents and participate in on-call rotations for emergency support.
Performance Optimization:
- Conduct regular performance assessments and implement optimization strategies for websites and servers.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks to ensure efficient data transfer and website loading times.
Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for server configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
- Create and update knowledge base articles for common server and website-related issues.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Server Administrator or similar role, with a focus on website hosting.
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of web server technologies (e.g., Apache, Nginx) and server operating systems (Linux, Windows).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Security:
- Understanding of security best practices and experience implementing security measures for servers and websites.
Communication:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and provide clear technical explanations to non-technical stakeholders.
Problem-Solving:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex server and website issues.
