Welder (Male)

We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team, specializing in fusing, fabricating, cutting, and repairing metal components. This role is essential in supporting structural projects, assembly lines, and heavy machinery operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in industrial production or commercial construction environments and demonstrate proficiency in multiple welding techniques to ensure high-quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Interpretation: Accurately read and interpret technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and structural weld symbols to determine precise fabrication requirements.

Material & Joint Preparation: Measure, cut, bevel, grind, and chemically clean metal workpieces using industrial tools such as band saws, angle grinders, and plasma torches to prepare materials for welding.

Fitting & Assembly: Align, clamp, and tack-weld complex components securely into fixtures or custom jigs to prevent heat distortion and maintain dimensional accuracy.

Multi-Process Welding Execution: Perform production welds in flat, vertical, horizontal, and overhead positions using various welding processes including MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Stick (SMAW), and Flux-Cored (FCAW).

Quality Assurance: Conduct visual inspections of weld beads and perform basic checks for defects such as porosity, undercut, or incomplete penetration to ensure structural integrity.

Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate welding machines by adjusting amperage, voltage, and gas flow rates; replace consumables like contact tips; and maintain accurate logs of machine maintenance activities.

Rigorous Safety Compliance: Maintain clean and spark-free hot-work zones, follow proper ventilation procedures, and consistently use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including auto-darkening welding helmets and fire-resistant clothing.

Required Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: 2-3 years of practical welding experience in heavy manufacturing, industrial production, or commercial construction settings.

Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in multiple welding styles and joint types such as groove, fillet, and plug welds.
- Strong understanding of the thermal properties of structural carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum alloys.
- Skilled in the use of precision layout and measuring tools including calipers, micrometers, and framing squares.

Compensation and Work Location

The position offers a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs50,000. This is an on-site role requiring physical presence at the designated work location.
