We're Hiring: Comic Illustrator & 2.5D Animator

Kodestra is seeking a talented and versatile creative professional skilled in both high-quality digital comic illustration and cinematic 2.5D animation. This remote, project-based opportunity involves producing visually compelling dark-fantasy content that goes beyond traditional video editing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of visual storytelling, layered artwork, character consistency, and motion comic production to bring a unique narrative experience to life.

Key Responsibilities
- Create approximately 40 original comic panels with semi-realistic, cinematic dark-fantasy visuals.
- Produce 10 animated videos, each lasting around 30 to 36 seconds, utilizing 2.5D parallax animation techniques.
- Prepare layered artwork specifically designed for 2.5D animation, ensuring proper layer separation and composition.
- Implement parallax depth, camera movements, atmospheric effects, and cinematic transitions to enhance storytelling.
- Maintain character consistency throughout both illustration and animation phases.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in digital illustration and comic or graphic novel artwork.
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Clip Studio Paint for creating detailed illustrations.
- Skilled in Adobe After Effects for animation and motion comic production.
- Expertise in 2.5D parallax animation techniques and motion comics.
- Ability to manage the entire creative pipeline independently, from original artwork to final animated scenes.
- Strong attention to detail in layer separation, composition, and maintaining character consistency.
- Must produce manually created illustrations; AI-generated artwork will not be accepted for the illustration component.
