Key Responsibilities
The primary focus of this role is to resolve priority incident tickets and service requests efficiently. The candidate will also contribute to incident analysis, prepare change requests, and participate in continuous service improvement initiatives. This position requires hands-on administration of Windows Server environments, managing patch deployment, and addressing vulnerabilities identified through security assessments. Troubleshooting patch installation failures and Windows OS issues will be a critical part of daily tasks. Additionally, the role involves working with Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and IIS administration. Automation through PowerShell scripting for reporting and operational efficiency is expected. Collaboration with teams managing VMware and Hyper-V environments may also be required.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should have strong administration experience with Windows Server versions 2012, 2016, 2019, and 2022. Expertise in Windows patch management and vulnerability remediation based on VAPT findings is essential. A solid understanding of Microsoft security updates, Windows security architecture, and CIS Benchmarks for Windows hardening is required. Experience with patch management tools such as WSUS, MECM/SCCM, Azure Update Manager, or similar enterprise solutions is necessary. Familiarity with vulnerability management platforms like Qualys, Tenable Nessus, Rapid7 InsightVM, or Microsoft Defender Vulnerability Management is important. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving Windows operating system issues and patch failures is expected. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required, along with 3 to 8 years of relevant experience in Windows Server administration focusing on patch management and vulnerability remediation.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience working in Azure IaaS or hybrid cloud environments is highly desirable. Knowledge of ITIL processes and hands-on experience with ServiceNow will be advantageous. Familiarity with automation tools such as PowerShell or Ansible is preferred. Exposure to endpoint security and antivirus solutions adds value to the candidate’s profile. Basic knowledge of Linux server administration is considered a plus.
