Wing Head – Cash Management (Sales) (VP) - TJ / 1885252

National Bank of Pakistan, one of the country’s largest and most reputable financial institutions, is seeking a dedicated and experienced professional to join its Corporate and Investment Banking division as Wing Head – Cash Management (Sales) (VP) based in Karachi. This role is integral to driving the bank’s strategy of supporting financial well-being and sustainable growth through innovative cash management solutions. The successful candidate will play a key role in client acquisition, business origination, and revenue generation while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining high levels of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist the Divisional Head of Cash Management in implementing business strategies focused on client acquisition, business origination, and achieving sales targets related to cash management products.
- Develop and introduce innovative electronic payment, collection, liquidity management, and investment services tailored for corporate and commercial clients.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including client coverage teams, risk management, and operations to drive sales pipeline conversion and deal execution.
- Maintain the highest standards of customer service to secure new business and deepen existing client relationships.
- Lead the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies, structuring mature cash management deals, and channeling customer feedback to the product development team.
- Partner with other business units such as Asset & Liability products, Treasury Services, and Markets Sales to maximize client business and bank returns.
- Support Business Banking Relationship Managers through joint marketing efforts and training focused on solution selling.
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of documentation for client onboarding and solution implementation.
- Achieve assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to asset book building, cross-selling, and revenue generation.
- Monitor risks proactively in line with the bank’s policies and prepare periodic performance reports on the cash management business unit.
- Review and validate cash management proposals to ensure compliance with bank policies and regulatory guidelines before submission for approval.
- Stay updated on regulatory requirements, including State Bank of Pakistan’s prudential regulations, and ensure strict adherence.
- Facilitate timely training and development of team members to enhance their professional capabilities.
- Maintain internal control standards and oversee the implementation of audit recommendations and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in systems, processes, and practices to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and align with international best practices.
- Perform additional assignments as directed by supervisors.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum graduation or equivalent from a university or institute recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan.
- At least 8 years of experience in the banking industry, including a minimum of 4 years in cash management (sales) and/or corporate banking.
- Strong understanding of State Bank of Pakistan regulations and cash management products.
- Proven experience in managing client engagement portfolios.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and strong written communication skills.
- Competency in MS Office applications.
- Analytical mindset with a strong sense of ownership and ability to perform under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Advanced degrees such as a Master’s in Business Studies, Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or related disciplines.
- Professional certifications such as CA, ICMA, ACCA, CMA, CFA (any level), or FRM are highly desirable.
- Employment will be on a contractual basis for three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to management discretion.
