Winning Product Researcher - UK Supplier Desk

M98M LTD is a growing e-commerce company operating in the UK market through multiple established online retail accounts. With around two years of trading experience, the company’s Lahore office at Global Heights, Johar Town, manages the entire operation including sourcing, product listings, advertising, and order fulfillment. This role is critical as it involves identifying and selecting products that will be sold online. The success of the listing and advertising teams depends heavily on the quality of product selection. The sourcing is exclusively from UK-based dropship and wholesale suppliers who can maintain stock, dispatch quickly, and support online sales.

The position requires working onsite in Johar Town during the shift of 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, aligned with UK trading hours.

Key Responsibilities

- Review supplier catalogues and product feeds to create a shortlist of potential products for further evaluation.
- Analyze real market demand by examining units sold in the last 30 days, the number of competing sellers, pricing trends, and sales volume versus mere listings.
- Perform detailed cost calculations including trade price, shipping, marketplace fees, VAT, and determine the actual profit margin per unit.
- Exercise strong judgment by rejecting more product ideas than are submitted, ensuring only viable options proceed.
- Verify supplier reliability by assessing stock availability, dispatch cut-off times, delivery performance, return policies, and permission for online marketplace dropshipping.
- Screen products for trademark issues, brand restrictions, and category compliance before submission.
- Submit product proposals with comprehensive evidence such as links, images, category details, pricing analysis, and sales data, and respond to queries from the approval team.
- Monitor the performance of live products, using sales feedback to refine future product selection.

Required Qualifications

- A completed bachelor’s degree.
- At least one year of hands-on experience in product research for an online marketplace or dropshipping business. Candidates will be tested with a live research task during the interview.
- Strong understanding of product economics including trade price versus retail price, shipping costs, fees, VAT, and their impact on profit margins.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets or Excel for fast and accurate data handling.
- Ability to distinguish genuinely profitable products from those that only appear attractive.
- Residency in Lahore with the ability to work onsite.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience working with UK wholesalers or dropship suppliers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with marketplace research tools such as ZIK Analytics, Terapeak, or similar platforms.
- Insight into UK consumer purchasing behavior is a plus.

Terms

- Monthly salary ranging from Rs 40,000 to Rs 50,000, based on experience.
- Full-time, on-site position at Global Heights, Johar Town, Lahore.
- Working hours are from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, including a one-hour break from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
- Minimum one-year contract with the possibility of renewal, requiring exclusive commitment to the company.
- Comprehensive training will be provided covering research criteria, profit models, and company policies.
