Women Medical Officer - Lakki Marwat, KP

Normeca International AS is leading an innovative healthcare initiative in Pakistan through the “Mobile Multi-Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital” project, in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the Government of Pakistan. This project deploys advanced mobile clinics housed in fully-equipped trailers to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities in the KPK and Sindh regions. These mobile units provide a broad range of general diagnostic services and minor surgical procedures, ensuring accessible, high-quality care in underserved rural areas. The clinics are designed with comprehensive facilities, including kitchens, laundry, dining areas, and conference rooms, to support both medical teams and patients effectively.

Normeca International AS is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Women Medical Officer (WMO) to join this impactful project. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering comprehensive healthcare, focusing on women’s and children’s health. This position requires flexibility to work in non-standard conditions and the ability to provide preventive care, diagnosis, and treatment of various medical conditions in rural settings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care tailored to the specific health needs of women and children.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Conduct routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
- Offer basic gynecological care and family planning counseling within the scope of non-specialized practice.
- Develop and manage personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and reproductive health.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Stay informed about medical advancements and best practices.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling mobile medical units at various locations.

Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Women Medical Officer.
- Proven experience in women’s health and general medical practice.
- Strong knowledge of primary care principles and practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team.
- Compassionate and patient-focused approach.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Additional training in gynecology is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is a plus.
