Women Medical Officer - Shangla, KP

Normeca International AS is leading an innovative healthcare initiative in Pakistan through its Mobile Multi-Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital project, in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the Government of Pakistan. This project deploys advanced mobile clinics housed in fully-equipped trailers to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities in the KPK and Sindh regions. Each unit offers a broad range of general diagnostic services and minor surgical procedures, supported by comprehensive facilities such as kitchens, laundry, dining areas, and conference rooms. These mobile clinics are designed to ensure both medical teams and patients experience comfort and functionality. Normeca International AS is dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility and providing high-quality care to underserved populations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive medical care focused on women’s and children’s health, addressing their unique healthcare needs.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses effectively.
- Conduct routine health check-ups, risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
- Provide basic gynecological care and family planning counseling within the scope of non-specialized practice.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and reproductive health topics.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and up-to-date patient records.
- Stay informed about the latest medical advancements and best clinical practices.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of mobile medical units at various locations as required.

Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Women Medical Officer.
- Demonstrated experience in women’s health and general medical practice.
- Strong knowledge of primary care principles and clinical protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to medical care.
- Proficiency in English is considered an advantage.
