Women Medical Officer- Shangla, KP

Normeca International AS is leading an innovative healthcare initiative in Pakistan through the “Mobile Multi-Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital” project, in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the Government of Pakistan. This project deploys advanced mobile clinics housed in fully-equipped trailers to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities in the KPK and Sindh regions. These mobile units provide a broad range of general diagnostic services and minor surgical procedures, aiming to improve healthcare accessibility in underserved rural areas.

Each mobile clinic is outfitted with state-of-the-art medical equipment and includes comprehensive facilities such as kitchens, laundry, dining areas, and conference rooms. This setup ensures both medical teams and patients experience comfort and full functionality during service delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive medical care focused on women’s and children’s health, addressing their specific medical needs.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses effectively.
- Perform routine check-ups, health-risk assessments, immunizations, and screening tests.
- Provide basic gynecological care and family planning counseling within the scope of non-specialized practice.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans for patients.
- Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and reproductive health topics.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate, detailed patient records and documentation.
- Keep up-to-date with medical advancements and best clinical practices.
- Assist in the setup and dismantling of mobile medical units at various locations.

Required Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid medical license to practice as a Women Medical Officer.
- Proven experience in women’s health and general medical practice.
- Strong understanding of primary care principles and clinical procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care delivery.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Additional training or certification in gynecology is considered an advantage.
- Proficiency in English is beneficial.
