The WordPress Developer will work remotely on a full-time basis, responsible for building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and web applications. This role involves developing custom themes and plugins, implementing front-end designs, optimizing site performance, and ensuring responsive and accessible user interfaces. The developer will integrate third-party APIs, manage databases and server-side logic as needed, and troubleshoot technical issues in both staging and production environments. Collaboration with designers, project managers, and other engineers is essential to translate business requirements into scalable WordPress solutions while adhering to best practices in security, code quality, and version control. Additionally, the role includes updating existing sites, performing regular maintenance, and contributing to the continuous improvement of development workflows and documentation.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet project requirements.
- Implement responsive front-end designs that ensure accessibility and optimal user experience.
- Optimize website performance and troubleshoot issues across staging and production environments.
- Integrate third-party APIs and manage server-side logic and databases as necessary.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including designers and project managers.

- Perform regular updates and maintenance on existing WordPress sites.

Required Qualifications
- Strong front-end development skills, including responsive web design and modern UI/UX principles.
- Proficiency in back-end development related to WordPress, including PHP, MySQL, and server-side integration.
- Experience with WordPress core, custom theme development, plugin configuration, and site optimization.
- Solid knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and WordPress-related tools such as Git, WP-CLI, debugging, and caching plugins.
- Understanding of SEO best practices, accessibility standards, and secure coding principles within WordPress environments.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple projects, and communicate clearly with diverse teams.
- Prior experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role, supported by a portfolio of WordPress projects.
