WordPress Developer

We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer with 3 to 5 years of expertise in building and customizing WordPress websites, especially within eCommerce and WooCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong skills in custom PHP development, plugin creation, payment gateway integration, and REST API development. This role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance WordPress solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites with a strong emphasis on WooCommerce and eCommerce functionalities. Build and modify custom WordPress themes and plugins to improve website features and user experience. Follow WordPress coding standards to ensure optimized performance and robust security.

Implement and manage custom post types, taxonomies, shortcodes, and widgets to meet specific project requirements. Troubleshoot and resolve conflicts between themes and plugins efficiently. Write clean, reusable PHP code for custom features and develop or extend plugins as needed.

Set up and customize WooCommerce stores, including product pages, checkout workflows, and order management systems. Create custom WooCommerce extensions and advanced features such as product filters, shipping rules, and dynamic pricing models.

Integrate and customize payment gateways including PayPal, Stripe, Authorize.net, and Razorpay, ensuring secure payment processing with transaction logging and fraud prevention measures. Develop, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs for third-party services such as shipping, payment, CRM, ERP, and inventory management.

Optimize website speed and security by leveraging caching technologies like Redis and WP Rocket. Implement proper sanitization, escaping, and authentication methods to safeguard applications. Conduct regular code audits, apply security patches, and fix vulnerabilities promptly.

Manage MySQL databases by optimizing queries and indexes. Handle WordPress site migrations across servers and configure CDN, cloud hosting, and backup solutions to support high-traffic environments.

Required Qualifications

3 to 5 years of professional experience in WordPress development. Strong proficiency in PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and AJAX. Demonstrated expertise in WooCommerce development, customization, and troubleshooting.

Experience in custom WordPress theme and plugin development. Solid understanding of REST APIs and third-party API integrations. Hands-on experience with payment gateway integrations such as Stripe and PayPal.

Knowledge of database optimization and query performance tuning. Familiarity with WordPress security best practices. Experience with Git version control and deployment workflows.

Ability to debug and resolve complex WordPress issues efficiently. Understanding of SEO best practices, structured data, and schema markup. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with great attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with headless WordPress using GraphQL or REST APIs. Knowledge of front-end frameworks like Vue.js, React, or Angular for enhancing WordPress applications. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Experience with server-side caching and performance optimization tools. Exposure to cloud hosting platforms such as AWS, DigitalOcean, or Google Cloud.
