We are seeking a talented Mid-Level WordPress Developer with 2 to 4 years of experience in building, customizing, and maintaining WordPress websites and applications. The ideal candidate will have strong front-end and back-end development skills, capable of delivering responsive, secure, and high-performing WordPress solutions. This full-time role is based in Lahore and requires in-person attendance. The developer will work closely with designers, project managers, and content teams to produce outstanding digital products. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication within the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites and plugins according to project specifications.
- Create custom themes using modern page builders such as Elementor, Bricks, Avada, Astra, or develop themes from scratch.
- Optimize website performance with a focus on Core Web Vitals, caching strategies, and database efficiency.
- Integrate APIs, payment gateways, and various third-party tools to enhance website functionality.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and full responsiveness across mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
- Manage website security protocols, perform regular backups, and apply timely updates.
- Collaborate effectively with designers, project managers, and content teams to deliver high-quality digital solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of code, changes, and configurations for future reference.
Required Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in WordPress development.
- Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery, and MySQL.
- Experience with popular page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, Bricks, Divi, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with WooCommerce, custom post types, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF).
- Strong understanding of WordPress hooks, filters, and REST API for custom development.
- Experience using Git for version control and working knowledge of cPanel or cloud hosting environments.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices, website security measures, and performance optimization techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively in English.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills
- Experience with multilingual WordPress setups using WPML or Polylang is advantageous.
- Basic understanding of UI/UX design tools such as Figma or Adobe XD to accurately implement design specifications.
