WordPress & Shopify Developer | AI Integration

We are seeking a talented WordPress and Shopify Developer to join our team on-site at DHA Phase 8, Lahore. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building fast, visually appealing websites and reliable e-commerce stores. This role requires a blend of solid coding expertise and practical experience with AI tools to enhance development processes and implement innovative website features. The developer will work closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to deliver high-quality projects on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, WooCommerce stores, and Shopify storefronts.
- Convert Figma designs into responsive, accurate, and fully functional websites.
- Build custom themes, reusable components, landing pages, and third-party integrations.
- Optimize website performance, including speed, Core Web Vitals, accessibility, technical SEO, and user conversion journeys.
- Integrate payment gateways, shipping services, CRM systems, email marketing platforms, and various APIs.
- Implement AI-driven features such as chatbots, product discovery tools, content workflows, and business automations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to themes, plugins, checkout processes, and hosting environments.
- Manage staging environments, backups, migrations, testing, and deployment activities.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure timely project delivery.

Required Qualifications

- Proficient in core web development technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Extensive experience with WordPress development, including custom themes and plugins, hooks, child themes, Gutenberg editor, block themes, Site Editor, theme.json, ACF, Elementor, WooCommerce, and REST API integrations.
- Strong Shopify skills covering Liquid templating, JSON templates, sections, theme blocks, metafields, metaobjects, Shopify CLI, app integrations, and theme customization.
- Familiarity with development workflows using Git, GitHub, browser developer tools, npm, API testing, and debugging.
- Knowledge of website operations such as hosting management, cPanel, DNS, SSL, caching, CDN configuration, security, and safe migrations.
- Experience with analytics and SEO tools, including Google Analytics 4, Google Tag Manager, Search Console, schema markup, redirects, and on-page technical SEO implementation.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot for coding assistance, debugging, documentation, and testing.
- Ability to review, validate, and deploy AI-generated code responsibly.
- Experience integrating AI services via APIs to develop website assistants, lead qualification workflows, or customer support features.
- Familiarity with automation platforms such as n8n, Make, or Zapier for connecting websites with business systems.
- Understanding of secure API key management, customer data privacy, and AI usage cost considerations.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Knowledge of TypeScript, React, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and Node.js.
- Experience with Shopify Hydrogen, Storefront API, GraphQL Admin API, Shopify Functions, and checkout extensions.
- Skills in headless WordPress setups, custom Gutenberg blocks, and Shopify app development.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks like Playwright or Cypress.
- Experience working on subscription-based stores, multilingual websites, and conversion rate optimization strategies.
- A portfolio demonstrating live WordPress and Shopify projects is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and clear communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while confidently explaining technical decisions.
- Commitment to working on-site at DHA Phase 8, Lahore.

Compensation

The monthly salary range for this position is Rs40,000 to Rs60,000.
