In this role, the Enterprise Apple Developer leads the development and distribution of proprietary applications within the organization and its partners using the Apple Developer Enterprise Program. The candidate must thoroughly understand enterprise distribution channels and compliance requirements to ensure seamless internal app deployment. This includes managing provisioning profiles, certificates, and troubleshooting app installation issues on various iOS devices. The developer collaborates cross-functionally to gather requirements, implement app updates, and maintain best security practices throughout the app delivery lifecycle. The role places great emphasis on continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving to enhance internal user experiences and meet business goals through effective use of the enterprise distribution capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Apple Developer Enterprise Program account and related resources.
- Develop, test, and deploy in-house iOS applications for enterprise distribution.
- Create and manage provisioning profiles, certificates, and entitlements for secure app distribution.
- Handle the packaging, signing, and deployment of applications via Enterprise Distribution.
- Ensure all enterprise apps comply with Apples security and policy requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather application requirements and provide regular updates.
- Troubleshoot installation and operational issues on iOS devices within the enterprise environment.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation related to the enterprise app distribution process and procedures.
- Implement best practices for app versioning, updates, and lifecycle management.
- Monitor and optimize app performance and security throughout the distribution lifecycle.
- Stay current with Apples enterprise development guidelines, SDKs, and tooling updates.
- Provide technical support and guidance related to in-house app distribution and deployment challenges.
