We are looking to fill an immediate need for a full time frontend developer to work with talented development team. This developer will work through the entire app lifecycle from concept, to delivery, to post launch support. We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate developer who loves to solve problems and work on a strong team with constant interaction.
Responsibilities:
- As part of our agile team, own UI design process with engineers from concept to the outcome. You’ll help define new product features through rapid iterative prototyping and UI simulations in code with live data.
- Create and manage production ready frontend code with a strong focus on re-usability, scalability, and performance.
- Explore cutting-edge front-end technologies to create new innovative features.
- Collaborate and communicate with product owners, engineers and QA engineers in ensuring that user interface is consistent and design goals are met.
- Create testable, clean code, document code, troubleshoot; participate in code reviews and optimize front-end performance.
- Contribute to continual improvements of the UI architecture, by adopting a web-components based, style-guide driven development approach to all frontend solutions.
Skills & Experience:
- Solid skills and expertise in PHP, Javascript, Reactjs, Angularjs, jQuery, HTML, CSS3, LESS, Sass/SCSS.
- Experience in techniques of asynchronous Javascript programming, and at least one major Javascript MV* framework, RESTful APIs & JSON, Nodejs, Jasmine/ Karma/Jest.
- Experience in working with semantic markup, use of Bootstrap responsive grids and BEM approaches to CSS, responsive web design.
- Experience in frontend tooling and workflows with Git, Grunt/Gulp, Webpack, Bower & NPM.
- Experience in optimizing for front-end performance.
- Experience in working with small scrum teams in an agile development process.
- Experience in Design for Accessibility, Web Components & Living Styleguides.
Other Preferences:
- 5 or more years of Frontend development experience in the industry.
- Strong portfolio, GitHub activity or web presence showing technical interests and experimental work would be a plus.
- A good understanding of usability, interaction design principles, and an awareness of how product design impacts business outcomes.
- A passion for the web, user interface design and front-end development technology trends.
- Meticulous in details, astute in problem-solving.
- Ability to communicate ideas clearly and listen with empathy.
- Ability to work in a team, work independently, or take on leadership roles when necessary.
