Xray Technician - Shangla, KP

Normeca International AS is leading an innovative healthcare initiative in Pakistan through the “Mobile Multi-Diagnostic Clinic / Mini Hospital” project, in partnership with the Islamic Development Bank (ISDB) and the Government of Pakistan. This project deploys advanced mobile clinics housed in fully-equipped trailers to deliver essential healthcare services directly to communities in the KPK and Sindh regions. These mobile units provide a wide range of general diagnostic services and minor surgical procedures, supported by comprehensive facilities such as kitchens, laundry, dining areas, and conference rooms to ensure comfort and efficiency for both medical teams and patients. The organization is dedicated to improving healthcare accessibility and delivering high-quality care to underserved rural areas.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate x-ray equipment to produce clear and accurate diagnostic images.
- Prepare and position patients for x-ray procedures, prioritizing their comfort and safety.
- Comply with established radiologic standards and safety regulations to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain precise patient records and documentation related to radiologic procedures.
- Assist physicians by providing relevant x-ray images and supporting interpretation efforts.
- Ensure all x-ray equipment is regularly maintained and functioning correctly.
- Follow strict safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to patients and personnel.
- Deliver compassionate patient care, addressing any concerns or questions during procedures.
- Support the setup and dismantling of mobile medical units at various deployment sites.

Required Qualifications:
- Certification or degree in radiologic technology from an accredited institution.
- Valid certification as a licensed X-Ray Technician.
- Demonstrated experience working as an X-Ray Technician in a clinical setting.
- Strong knowledge of radiologic techniques, equipment operation, and safety procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and related software applications.
- Willingness to work in rural and non-standard conditions, adapting to mobile clinic environments.
- English language proficiency is considered an advantage.
