YDP Batch 2 | Media Internship Applications Are Open

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of Pakistan, through its Digital Communication Department, is launching Batch 2 of the Youth Digital Program (YDP). This initiative offers media students, recent graduates, hosts, actors, presenters, visual storytellers, and emerging creators a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional media environment. Participants will have the chance to develop their skills while contributing to impactful digital communication projects that focus on youth and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
Participants will contribute to a variety of media formats including interviews, podcasts, videos, reels, digital campaigns, and on-camera productions. Depending on individual talents, responsibilities may include hosting and presenting, acting and on-camera content creation, interview and podcast production, video and visual storytelling, creative concept development, social media content creation, and collaborating with emerging creators. The role requires active participation in youth-focused content and community engagement initiatives.

Required Qualifications
Applicants should be students, recent graduates, or self-taught creatives in media and mass communication fields. Confidence, creativity, reliability, openness to feedback, and eagerness to learn are essential qualities. No extensive professional experience is required; however, candidates must demonstrate their talent, personality, ideas, and willingness to grow through their application materials.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
While this is an unpaid internship, participants will gain valuable practical experience in digital media production and teamwork. The program offers professional feedback and opportunities to build a strong portfolio and enhance on-camera skills through assigned projects. The internship is based at the Digital Communication Department office located in the Pakistan-China Friendship Centre, Islamabad, and requires on-site attendance.
