Roles & Responsibilities
- Following functions are primary responsibilities of the appointed resource:
- Assume leadership role in day-to-day QA team management issues
- Advise suitable QA strategy for each implementation of the yieldWerx suite of products
- Know when to change the QA strategy
- Maintain clients’ domain knowledge backup across multiple QA Engineers
- Ensure test cases are consistently written across all projects
- Act as mentor for day-to-day QA process challenges
- Take ownership for the testing of our core components, Synchronization and SDK products
- Day to day management of a team of engineers along with hands-on QA activities
- Participate in the design and implementation process for new and existing products
- Review software documentation to ensure technical accuracy
- Provide accurate QA estimates for product releases
- Thrive in an environment managing multiple concurrent product releases under tight deadlines;
- Ability to adjust priorities and realign resources to manage unexpected changes in product release road map
- Work with the team to develop and enhance manual and automated tests for new features and regressions, including UI and API suites
- Guide the team on various processes and procedures that enhance productivity
- Work closely with the other QA teams and engineering managers on overall project delivery and improvements
Resource management
- Recruitment of QA team members
- Allocate suitable QA Engineers across projects
- Proactively manage upcoming QA resource crunch times across projects
- Conduct training needs assessment of QA Engineers and manage subsequent trainings before allocating on the projects
Required Qualification
Must have
- BS/MS in Computer Science or Engineering
- 7+ years of experience of QA for offshore projects
- Solid experience of product development and maintenance projects
- Good communication skills
Should be Flexible and self-driven and be able to act independently
