YouTube Documentary Video Editor & Motion Graphics Special

We are seeking a skilled YouTube Documentary Video Motion Graphic Animator to bring documentary scripts, narration, archival footage, photographs, maps, data, and other visual references to life through high-quality, cinematic, and engaging motion graphics. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding that documentary animation goes beyond simple movement—it is about telling a compelling visual story. You will transform narration-heavy scenes into clear, emotionally resonant, and captivating visuals that enhance the viewer’s experience.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the creative and video production teams to produce motion graphics, animated maps, timelines, infographics, UI recreations, historical reconstructions, text animations, transitions, and cinematic sequences specifically tailored for YouTube documentaries.

Key Responsibilities

- Create cinematic motion graphics and animations for YouTube documentary videos.
- Translate scripts and voiceovers into visually compelling sequences.
- Animate photographs, archival footage, documents, maps, charts, newspaper clippings, screenshots, and other visual assets.
- Develop parallax animations, camera movements, zooms, pans, and cinematic compositions from still images.
- Design and animate maps, routes, timelines, diagrams, statistics, graphs, and infographics.
- Produce visuals for historical, political, technological, business, crime, science, and current-affairs documentaries.
- Create visually engaging text and typography animations.
- Recreate websites, social media interfaces, documents, news broadcasts, mobile screens, and other visual elements as needed.
- Develop cinematic transitions and visual effects that support the narrative without distracting from it.
- Maintain visual consistency throughout entire documentary episodes.
- Collaborate with editors, scriptwriters, researchers, and creative directors to fully understand story and visual requirements.
- Take creative direction and implement feedback efficiently.
- Organize project files, assets, compositions, and source files in a professional manner.
- Deliver polished animations within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in motion graphic animation, particularly for documentary-style videos.
- Strong proficiency with animation and video editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, or equivalent tools.
- Ability to interpret scripts and narration to create clear and engaging visual storytelling.
- Skilled in animating a variety of media including photographs, archival footage, maps, and infographics.
- Experience with parallax effects, camera movements, and cinematic composition techniques.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain visual consistency.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a creative team.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
