We are currently seeking talented and creative video editors to join our team and contribute to a variety of YouTube projects, including faceless documentaries, talking-head videos, educational content, and other long-form formats. As a YouTube Video Editor, you will transform raw footage, voiceovers, and scripts into polished videos that demonstrate strong storytelling, pacing, and audience retention. The ideal candidate works independently, adheres to project guidelines, meets deadlines, and consistently delivers quality across multiple assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos such as faceless documentaries, storytelling, educational content, and talking-head formats.
- Incorporate engaging B-roll footage, stock videos, images, screenshots, and other visual assets to enhance video quality.
- Maintain effective pacing, storytelling flow, and audience retention throughout each project.
- Add smooth transitions, sound effects, background music, and audio enhancements to improve viewer experience.
- Create clean and appealing text animations, motion graphics, zooms, highlights, and other visual effects as needed.
- Edit talking-head footage using jump cuts, B-roll overlays, captions, and supporting visuals to maintain viewer engagement.
- Perform basic color correction, audio cleanup, and overall video polishing to ensure professional output.
- Follow client-specific editing styles, references, and brand guidelines carefully.
- Organize project files systematically and deliver high-quality videos within agreed deadlines.
- Communicate effectively with team members and incorporate feedback and revisions professionally.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in YouTube video editing, especially with faceless documentaries or talking-head content.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and/or Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of storytelling techniques, pacing, visual composition, and audience retention strategies.
- Ability to source and integrate relevant B-roll, images, and supporting footage effectively.
- Good knowledge of sound design, music selection, transitions, and basic color grading.
- Capability to follow reference videos and replicate specific editing styles accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and consistently meet deadlines.
- A portfolio or samples of previous work demonstrating your editing skills.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience editing documentary, true crime, investigative, business, finance, history, or educational YouTube content.
- Familiarity with talking-head videos, personal brands, podcasts, or creator-focused content.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, animated text, visual callouts, and screen-based animations.
