Our brand thrives on clear messaging, engaging storytelling, and consistent production, particularly across YouTube and various social media platforms. To support our expanding content output, we are seeking a skilled and dependable Video Editor to join our team on a contract/freelance basis. This role involves transforming raw footage into polished, professional videos that captivate and engage our audience while adhering to brand standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Edit long-form YouTube videos using provided raw footage, ensuring a smooth and engaging final product.
- Enhance videos with motion graphics, text overlays, transitions, B-roll, sound effects, and music where appropriate to elevate content quality.
- Maintain alignment with the brand’s tone, style, and storytelling approach throughout all video projects.
- Optimize pacing, cuts, and overall structure to maximize viewer retention and engagement across platforms.
- Efficiently implement feedback and revisions while upholding high-quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, consistently meeting deadlines and turnaround times.
- Organize project files and maintain a clean, efficient editing workflow to streamline production.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional video editing experience.
- Proven track record editing online video content, especially for YouTube and social media platforms.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or comparable video editing software.
- Solid understanding of best practices for YouTube and social video, including pacing, hooks, and techniques to improve viewer retention.
- Exceptional attention to detail combined with a creative eye for storytelling and video flow.
- Reliable communication skills with the ability to follow creative direction accurately.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently in a remote or freelance setting.

Compensation
This is a contract/freelance position offering $55 USD per video and $10 USD per thumbnail produced.
