YT Video Editor role at Team Zealancy involves transforming raw footage and creative ideas into compelling YouTube content with a focus on storytelling, motion design, and AI-generated visuals. This full-time onsite position is based in Karachi, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, depending on skill level, portfolio quality, experience, and trial performance. The role primarily covers documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos. Candidates are evaluated based on their creative execution rather than formal titles, emphasizing a deep understanding of why edits work to maintain viewer engagement through pacing, visuals, sound, and motion graphics.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage through to final delivery.
- Develop strong intros and hooks that generate curiosity and retain viewers.
- Structure videos with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI.
- Combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing and motion design to ensure visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading as needed.
- Translate scripts and creative concepts into engaging visual sequences.
- Accurately replicate editing styles based on references without direct copying.
- Apply basic graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of projects and communicate any blockers early.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of motion design, animation, pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout judgment.
- Basic knowledge of color correction and grading.
- Skilled in selecting B-roll and visual storytelling.
- Effective project organization and asset management skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation tools.
- Strong judgment regarding visual consistency, realism, continuity, and quality when using AI-generated assets.
- Good English comprehension, especially for working with English-language scripts.
- Understanding of YouTube storytelling, viewer retention, and modern creator-led editing styles.
- Ability to analyze and explain why certain editing decisions work.
- Capability to translate scripts and abstract ideas into strong AI-assisted visual sequences.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Higgsfield AI and AI image or video generation.
- Skills in prompt development and understanding visual continuity in AI-generated sequences.
- Strong motion graphics abilities.
- Background in documentary or storytelling content.
- Experience working with creator-led YouTube channels such as Johnny Harris or Colin & Samir.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted post-production workflows.

Compensation is competitive and commensurate with portfolio strength, technical skills, creative judgment, experience, and trial performance. Selected candidates may also be eligible for performance-based earnings, revenue sharing, performance partnerships, and medical benefits according to company policy.
