Zealancy is seeking a skilled YouTube Video Editor with expertise in storytelling, motion design, and AI visual generation to transform raw footage and creative concepts into engaging, high-retention YouTube content. This full-time, onsite role is based in Karachi, with working hours from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Compensation ranges from PKR 45,000 to 120,000+ per month, depending on skill level, portfolio, experience, and trial performance. The position primarily involves editing documentary-style, talking-head, creator-led, and long-form YouTube videos. Candidates will be evaluated based on their portfolio, creative execution, and technical abilities rather than traditional job titles.

Key Responsibilities:
- Edit long-form YouTube videos from raw footage to final delivery.
- Develop strong intros and hooks that generate curiosity and maintain viewer attention.
- Structure videos with a focus on storytelling, pacing, and viewer retention.
- Create and integrate motion graphics, typography, animations, and visual effects.
- Use B-roll, graphics, screenshots, stock footage, music, and sound effects purposefully.
- Generate and incorporate AI visuals for storytelling, B-roll, concepts, and creative sequences using tools like Higgsfield AI and similar platforms.
- Combine AI-generated visuals with traditional editing elements to ensure visual consistency.
- Apply basic color correction and grading as needed.
- Translate scripts, dialogue, and creative concepts into compelling visual sequences.
- Accurately interpret references and replicate editing styles without direct copying.
- Apply basic graphic design and layout principles when creating visual assets.
- Manage revisions professionally and efficiently.
- Take ownership of projects and communicate any blockers promptly.
- Deliver high-quality work within agreed deadlines.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects.
- Strong understanding of motion design and animation principles.
- Excellent sense of pacing, rhythm, sound design, and visual composition.
- Good typography and layout judgment.
- Knowledge of basic color correction and grading techniques.
- Skilled in selecting and integrating B-roll to enhance storytelling.
- Strong project organization and asset management abilities.
- Ability to troubleshoot routine editing and workflow issues independently.
- Hands-on experience with AI visual generation and AI-assisted creative workflows.
- Familiarity with Higgsfield AI or similar AI image and video generation tools.
- Ability to generate, refine, and seamlessly integrate AI visuals into professional edits.
- Strong judgment regarding visual consistency, realism, continuity, and quality when using AI-generated assets.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Deep understanding of YouTube storytelling and viewer retention strategies.
- Ability to craft compelling intros and openings within the first 30 to 60 seconds.
- Experience consuming and analyzing high-quality long-form creator-led content.
- Ability to articulate why specific editing decisions are effective.

- Insight into purposeful creative decisions versus decorative effects.
- Ability to discern when AI-generated visuals genuinely enhance storytelling.
- Familiarity with creators such as Johnny Harris and Colin & Samir is a plus.
- Experience with prompt development and AI-assisted post-production workflows.
- Documentary or storytelling experience and strong motion graphics skills are advantageous.
- Understanding of visual continuity in AI-generated sequences.

Compensation and Growth Opportunities:
Final compensation and role level will be determined by portfolio quality, technical skills, creative judgment, experience, and trial performance. Selected candidates may be eligible for performance-based earnings, revenue sharing, performance partnership opportunities, and medical benefits as per company policy.
