Project Manager

Zarrar & Co. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. This role requires a skilled professional who can develop detailed project plans, coordinate resources effectively, and ensure timely execution aligned with approved specifications and contractual commitments. The Project Manager will manage a team of 50 individuals, including Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors, and Procurement staff, ensuring seamless collaboration and operational efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. A strong focus on budget control, quality assurance, and compliance with health and safety standards is essential. The Project Manager is responsible for supervising day-to-day activities on construction sites, monitoring progress against schedules and milestones, and addressing issues promptly to mitigate risks. They will coordinate with various stakeholders such as subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and senior management to maintain project momentum and resolve challenges. The role demands comprehensive documentation, reporting, and regular communication with directors to ensure projects meet deadlines, budget requirements, and quality standards while adhering to environmental and safety regulations.
Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, and execution strategies in line with approved drawings, specifications, and contract terms.
• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities to ensure progress aligns with the project plan and timelines.
• Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of 50 personnel, including Construction Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, Quantity Surveyors, and Procurement staff to achieve project goals.
• Monitor and control project budgets by reviewing expenditures and implementing cost control measures to optimize resource utilization.
• Track project milestones and deadlines, identify delays, and deploy corrective actions to ensure timely completion of all project stages.
• Ensure all construction work complies with technical specifications, quality standards, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate procurement activities by collaborating closely with the procurement department to secure required materials, equipment, and machinery in a timely manner.
• Manage relationships and communication with subcontractors, consultants, suppliers, and clients to resolve project-related issues and maintain efficient workflow.
• Prepare, review, and submit progress reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, detailing completed work, pending tasks, challenges, and potential risks.
• Conduct frequent site visits to inspect project progress, evaluate team performance, and enforce compliance with project requirements and safety protocols.
• Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures, ensuring adherence to all applicable standards and best practices.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including meeting minutes, progress reports, schedules, variation orders, and other critical records.
• Identify and assess project risks, technical challenges, and resource shortages, taking timely corrective measures to mitigate potential impacts.
• Communicate regularly with senior management and the Director to provide updates on project status, budget conditions, resource needs, and critical issues.
• Manage the final handover process by ensuring all project activities are completed, outstanding issues are resolved, documentation is verified, and formal project closure is executed.
