Programming Analyst

Zeena Software is seeking a dedicated and skilled Programming Analyst to join its team on a full-time basis at the North Nazimabad, Karachi location. This role involves the development, testing, and maintenance of software applications, with a focus on upgrading existing software to ASP.net while leveraging current skills in ASP technology. The ideal candidate possesses a thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and approaches tasks with independence and intelligence, requiring minimal supervision. Zeena Software caters primarily to small and medium-sized enterprises as well as healthcare clients, offering a dynamic work environment where self-motivation and technical proficiency are highly valued. The Programming Analyst is responsible for collaborating across teams to analyze requirements, design systems, manage databases, and document technical processes. The role demands proficiency in VB.net Winforms and MS SQL database programming, experience with version control using GIT, and a solid foundation in software engineering principles. While managing a team is not part of this role, the candidate should demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a capacity to handle multiple facets of software projects independently. Holding a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline supports the necessary technical background to excel in this position.
Responsibilities

Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications primarily using VB.net Winforms and ASP.net.
Upgrade existing software systems to ASP.net framework while ensuring compatibility and robustness.
Manage and optimize MS SQL databases, including database design and query optimization.
Apply software development life cycle methodologies to manage projects from inception to deployment.
Utilize version control systems, specifically GIT, to track changes and collaborate on code effectively.
Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation to support software development and future maintenance.
Perform rigorous testing and debugging activities to ensure software reliability and performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide feedback and implement improvements throughout the development process.
Use ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to handle data migration and integration tasks as needed.
Stay current with emerging software development tools, practices, and technologies to recommend upgrades and improvements.
Operate independently with minimal supervision, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and project goals.
Participate in Agile software development processes to contribute to efficient and iterative delivery of software products.
Assist in managing software lifecycle projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and timelines.
