We are hiring a senior and independent operator who understands the UK and European higher education landscape and is passionate about education sector.
The Role
This is our first and most senior hire in Pakistan and the employee will be expected to lead the development, implementation and enhancement of all aspects of the company's strategy primarily in Pakistan including student acquisition and marketing portfolio of universities.
This regional director role has ownership of all aspects of running the office, and their performance will be assessed by growth in student numbers. You will have an opportunity to build a market leading team encompassing all functions necessary to run a lean and efficient business in Pakistan.
Skills & Experience required
• Extensive and broad experience (minimum 5 years) in the university sector including at the strategic level.
• Extensive experience in international activities including international student acquisition and in-country work.
• In-depth understanding of student application to the UK universities, visa application processing, required documentation and familiarity of best practices to drive optimal results.
• Experience of budget and staff supervision.
• Experience of prioritising a heavy workload to meet deadlines and targets under pressure.
• Thorough understanding of current (and constantly evolving) UKVI guidelines, rules and regulations.
• Self-motivated and confident decision-maker.
• Resourceful and able to deal with unanticipated situations whilst traveling and otherwise
• Outstanding inter-personal, communication, negotiation, diplomacy and social skills, and the ability to engage in contact with all, especially the highest levels.
• Highly collaborative and persuasive coupled with ability to lead courageous discussion.
• Conflict resolution, problem solving in multi-dimensional stakeholder business model.
• Ability to motivate, inspire and support students in the decision-making process.
• In depth understanding in the use of social media for marketing and conversion.
• You must be available to travel extensively across the country.
Desirable traits
Experience of studying and living outside of your home country, preferably in the UK.
