This position provides financial and administrative support for the company, specifically accounts receivables, payables, and billing as well as analysis to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial and statistical data with respect to the general ledger and internal & external submissions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Corporate Accounting/Finance

  • Maintain Accounts for multiple companies & Maintains General Ledger (GL) integrity by ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Responsible for processing payments through the financial system and online direct deposit, ensuring strict deadlines adhere to, Supporting monthly cheque runs, and the preparation of manual cheques when required.   
  •  Reconciles the GL in Quick Books by verifying the accuracy of account allocation.
  • Supports the cash management process by compiling the related information from payroll, billing, and accounts payables daily
  • Supports preparation of related journal entries for bank transaction
  • Performs ongoing maintenance in the financial system, including new account and vendor setup, running month-end reports, etc.

Billing

  • Plays a key role in supporting the company billing to over 5000 customers.
  • Works closely with the support teams to ensure that customer billing data is accurate.
  • Works with the support team to make sure Account Receivable is up-to-date.
  • Support the billing and payables process, ensuring the correct amounts, allocations, etc. are accurate and timely
  • Responsible for regular billing analysis; liaises with staff & service providers for finance-related issues
  • Responsible for producing and analyzing weekly billing reports for management and Quarterly billing for the company.

Taxation

  • Help the company prepare the tax returns for various accounts like Payroll, HST, and Corporate Tax accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • University degree or College diploma in Finance or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
  • Actively pursuing a professional accounting designation (e.g., Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified General Accountant (CGA) or equivalent)
  • Three (3) to Five (5) years experience in accounting and finance administration/procedures and maintaining confidential financial files
  • Training in tools, systems, and databases used in budgeting and accounting
  • Must be familiar with Canadian Accounting Systems
  • Must be proficient in Pakistan's Tax & Accounting Systems
  • Must be familiar with Quick Books as an Accounting / book keeping software
  • Must be very proficient in MS Excel

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Fluency in English with great communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Great customer service and problem solving skills
  • Strong fluency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Technical knowledge (telecommunications, IP network, modems, etc.) is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and ability to track and meet job related assignments
  • Must have an ability to troubleshoot SIP Traffic, Monitoring SIP Logs & Managing class 5 Switch us one of the core responsibilities.
  • High school diploma required, College/University diploma or degree strongly preferred.
