ZINAM Technologies (Private) Limited is a technology company based in Karachi, working as a versatile support center for our parent company based in Canada.
- We are looking for a legal professional with previous experience at an immigration law firm and someone who thrives on having challenging and rewarding work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
Client Communication
- Acting as the key point of contact for client inquiries at all stages of the client relationship; sending out initiation for files and providing clients with status updates throughout the life-cycle of their file Communicating with clients to obtain required documentation or advise on required changes to documentation previously submitted
Document Drafting
- Filling in forms required for the application files; mining the client’s file for information and following up on outstanding information
- Drafting submission letters, working off of precedents when appropriate or writing documents from scratch
- Conducting research and leveraging government resources to ensure processes are current and appropriate documents are being used
- Compiling all documents required for a submission and processing in a timely manner
Administration
- Full accountability of assigned elements of a file or application
- Checking client ledger to determine if any disbursements must be billed out
- Tracking file progress against retainer to send a billing request to accounting once certain milestones are reached with the client
- Reviewing invoices produced by the Accounting team with the Lawyer to seek approval
- Ensuring that timelines and deadlines are diarized and met including expiry dates and other key dates
- Scheduling appointments and meetings with clients
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, History, or Humanities OR a Diploma or Certificate as a Paralegal, Law Clerk, or Legal Assistant is required
- 1+ years of experience working with immigration processes.
- Excellent writing abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Self starter that can prioritize projects to meet the needs of stakeholders
- Effective time management and superior organizational skills
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems
