Friends Welfare Trust

The Trust was founded on 1st June 2005 with the aim to contribute in improving the current condition of health services in Pakistan, particularly in rural and under-privileged areas where medical facilities and health awareness is almost non-existent. The Trust is a non-profitable, non-political, non-governmental organization registered with the Government of Pakistan, Registration No. 5892. Book No.1, Volume 1767 in Islamabad.

The idea of establishing a Welfare Trust was first conceived in early 2005 by Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed Khan Niazi, his wife Dr. Ghazala Iftikhar Niazi and Mr. Qaim Hussain Shah with the aims and objectives of improving the current condition of health services in the country, particularly the rural areas where health services and health awareness was almost non-existent.

Mission:

To deliver health education and treatment facilities by involving the community in our health care system by building Friends' Health Centers in different rural and under-privileged areas in the country.

Vision:

To create health awareness among the community in provision of quality health services.
