Audit Associate

Akram & Associates is a US-based Assurance, Advisory and Tax firm and is looking for a dynamic Audit Associate to join its growing team in Lahore, Pakistan. Audit Associate will be responsible to assist for financial statement audit engagements of Investment Funds, Private Equity Funds, Hedge Funds and other financial services clients.

Responsibilities:

Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations including coordinating the auditing of all required financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables
Develop an understanding of the client's business, and become a financial services industry specialist to understand client specific needs
Assist to team in-charge in audit work
Anticipate and address client concerns and escalate issues as they arise
Ensure professional development through ongoing education

Basic Qualifications:

CA inter/finalist or ACCA affiliate with experience from a CA firm (Audit/Tax)
Proficient with Microsoft Office products including Word, Outlook and especially with Excel
Willingness to take supervision and guidance
Proficient in English (verbal and written)

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in auditing clients in the Financial Services industry
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment
Must think critically and work well independently
