PMD is looking for a Systems Engineer for operating and maintaining its Data Center systems.

Education

4-years Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Information Technology or related discipline

Desired Experience/Certifications:

3+ years System Administration (Linux Platform) experience in a Production environment.
Must have RHCSA. RHCSE will be a plus.
Certification of VMware (VCTA/VCP/VCAP/VCDX etc.) will be a plus.
Training/Certification of DBMS (MySQL, MariaDB etc.) will be a plus.

Required Skills:

Essential

Experience on Linux servers and Virtualization platforms.
Able to install, configure, test and maintain (Linux and Windows) operating systems, application softwares, APIs and system management tools.
Experience of maintaining and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure including servers, backup & storage devices (SAN) and server rack power.
Experience of performing systems tuning, upgrades and optimizations to enhance efficiency.
Experience of creating and executing scripts (bash) for scheduled jobs.

Additional

Knowledge of Database Management System will be a plus.
Experience of developing and implementing systems related security policies
Experience in liaising with vendors, maintenance contractors and suppliers for problem resolution.
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
A quick learner, with attention to detail, and the commitment to meet deadlines.
