Job Summary

Established in Pakistan in 2007 and expanded through a strategic merger in 2012, METRO Pakistan now operates 10 wholesale centers in key cities including Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Faisalabad. Key Responsibilities
- Drive the acquisition of new buying customers by activating potential clients and expanding the overall customer portfolio.
- Consistently achieve assigned sales targets while ensuring profitability through effective margin management.
- Build and maintain a profitable customer portfolio by onboarding new customers and increasing the average sales turnover per customer.
- Promote incremental sales by encouraging customers to purchase additional products across various departments, with a focus on high-margin dry food segments such as D&T and S&C.
- Represent METRO professionally by demonstrating comprehensive business knowledge, applying METRO’s proven selling techniques, and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Stay informed about market trends and competitor activities to enable METRO to adapt strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
- Prepare thoroughly for customer visits by reviewing and analyzing customer files, including sales trends, buying patterns, gap analysis, and setting clear objectives.
- Conduct follow-up activities post-visit to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain updated customer information.
- Perform feasibility studies to develop tailored business solutions that meet customer needs.
- Plan weekly activities based on portfolio priorities, managing communications effectively through phone, email, and fax.
- Organize and monitor follow-ups on commitments made during customer interactions to ensure accountability and progress.
- Collaborate closely with Department Managers through store tours and information sharing to align sales efforts and customer engagement.
- Schedule customer activities strategically and evaluate market share development on a per-customer basis.
- Analyze customer situations regularly and monitor adherence to budget constraints.
- Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnover, margin, and purchase frequency within the customer portfolio.
- Participate in specialized training sessions to develop additional skills and competencies relevant to the role and personal growth.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or Intermediate qualification with 6 to 8 years of relevant experience in sales, customer relationship management, or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing customer portfolios and achieving sales targets.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and business development.
